Newsletter Acquisition Advice For Every Operator

The events of this weekend demonstrate that the times we live in can be scary. As newsletter operators, the content and fortune of our newsletters can reflect both the mood of the markets we serve as well as our own personal sentiments. Which is why in this challenging time, I choose optimism; optimism for the country I live in and for the newsletter I write, because as a citizen and operator I have a role to play in manifesting that optimism for both.
Given that spirit of optimism, the theme of today's issue is newsletter acquisition. Acquiring any asset is done with a spirit of optimism and hope for the potential that new asset brings to the buyer; that certainly was the case when I acquired this newsletter in March and remains so. For the seller, the sale marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, which is inherently an optimistic time given proceeds from a sale.
